Robert Day
Managing Director
Robert Day is one of the most experienced Commercial and Industrial Lighting men in Australia. On completion of a Management Cadetship in the Hardware Industry in 1982 Rob started working for Wadco Lighting in heavy industrial / mining lighting in Sydney. Working in Sales and Marketing, Rob was promoted to National Business Manager in 1995 with Spectra Lighting, a Queensland lighting manufacturer. In 2002 Rob moved to Melbourne as CEO for ADLTA / Ruud commercial lighting, an International lighting manufacturer of lamps and fixtures. Rob has worked in every facet of business including sales, marketing, manufacturing, production, procurement, research and development, finance and international corporate management for over 40 years. In recent years Rob was instrumental in the concept and product development of the Dark Licht Series of Glare Free LED luminaires, with DC Bright.
George Smith
Director of Sales
George Smith is one of the most experienced Commercial and Industrial Lighting men in Australia. After finishing in the Navy as an electrical technician in 1982, George accepted a cadetship with Associated Lighting Industries working in the project department. He has focused his career in industrial and commercial lighting sales and marketing. With more than 40 years experience George worked for Pierlite, Rexel, EYE, Spectra, ADLTA / Ruud, Solus and Wadco. He has managed hundreds significant lighting projects, tenders, contracts and designs. Customers seek George’s expert advice and friendly service, as an industry specialist.
